While primary years of schooling are often met with groans and complaints, it is our human duty as parents, human beings and public entities to educate our children. School at its most basic level, serves a number of purposes from building confidence, to giving children the baseline skills to survive as accomplished and productive individuals in the future society.

Learning basic necessities play a pivotal role towards moulding the learners’ success at school. It instils principles to the learners to take pride in their appearance with a confident attitude to excel in their schooling. Taking education as a priority to shape and contribute to the children’s future, the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone donated 100 branded school backpacks and shoes under the theme ‘Month for the Youth, as initiated by the Umlalazi Circuit Management Cluster who identified the dire need and facilitated the request for the donation.

Attending the official Corporate Social Investment handover held at KwaMondi Primary School was the lead, Stakeholder and Communications Manager, Choice Sihiya accompanied by Zodwa Zikalala, Brand and Marketing Manager and the RBIDZ staffers.

Chief Circuit Manager Mr Nxumalo, expressed a warm welcome to the RBIDZ team, and couldn’t believe that the long anticipated day has reached eventuality. “We are ever so thankful for the support received, as a large Circuit Management Cluster (CMC) overseeing over 100 public schools in deep rural areas we are exultant that the most destitute learners will now walk with confidence daily to school without the fear of being isolated from the rest”Concurring to his sentiments was Dr Mpungose, from the Eshowe Department of Education, who stated that “the immense contribution has brought courage to the learners, we hope that as we are currently on Youth Month this signifies the importance of educational development for them and annotates their hard earned right to learning”.
